# Is my brewery compatible with PLAATO Edge?

## An overview of how PLAATO Edge works with your brewery and what's needed to get up and running

### What is the PLAATO Edge?

Our device is an industrial gateway that connects to your brewery control system in order to collect and send important brewing data to our cloud for processing. This allows us to analyse **quality** and **efficiency** throughout every process in your brewery.

### How does it work?

Your control panel contains electronics designed to safely manage all of the sensors, pumps and valves in your brewery. When you open up the door, the brains of the system is known as a PLC. We are able to support all major suppliers, and if you don't see your PLC in the list, contact us and we will work with you to connect it up.
