# Does pressure affect PLAATO Pro readings?

## If you're fermenting under pressure, it's important to ensure your setup aligns with PLAATO Pro’s pressure compatibility.

The PLAATO Pro sensor is rated to operate safely and accurately within a pressure range of **0 to 4 bar (0 to 58 psi)**. While it continues to function reliably across this range, it’s worth noting that **pressures above 1 bar (14.5 psi gauge pressure)** may cause **minor, negligible variations** in readings. These are typically not significant enough to affect your fermentation tracking.

**🔧 Technical Note:**

- **Operating Pressure Range:** 0–4 bar (0–58 psi)
- **Recommended Operating Pressure for Optimal Accuracy:** ≤ 1 bar (≤ 14.5 psi)
- Pressure above 1 bar may slightly influence gas-related measurements but has minimal impact on overall fermentation tracking.
